Almanexa vs Notion
Most teams already keep decisions in Notion, usually as a decision-log template. That works until you ask which of those decisions actually worked. Almanexa records the outcome someone expected before it is known, grades the decision once the result is in, and only lets an approved lesson be reused. A page holds what you typed; it cannot tell you whether you were right.

When to choose Notion instead
Choose Notion when you want one flexible workspace for documents, wikis, tasks and notes, and a decision log is one page among many. It is faster to start, it is where the rest of your work already lives, and for a small team, writing decisions down at all is a real improvement over not doing so.
When Almanexa is the better fit
Choose Almanexa when it matters whether the decision was right. Recording the expected outcome before it is known is what makes the later grade meaningful, and enforcing that the approver is never the author is what makes the lesson trustworthy to someone who was not in the room. If you need to show a regulator or an auditor what was decided and on what basis, a page history is not the same as a tamper-evident record.

- Can we just use a Notion decision-log template?
- You can, and it beats nothing. The limits show up later: nothing forces the expected outcome to be written before the result is known, nothing schedules the review, and nothing stops the author approving their own conclusion. Those three gaps are what decision memory closes.
- Do we have to move our documents out of Notion?
- No. Almanexa records decisions and outcomes; it is not a replacement for a wiki or a document workspace. Teams commonly keep both.
